  • Unauthorized use of the university computer system and/or computer access codes and university software or data.
  • Use of computers or network to send or receive threatening, abusive or obscene material.
  • Unauthorized use of someone else’s password and identity or to conduct an illegal or unethical activity
  • Unauthorized entry into a file to read, transfer, change, use or for any other purpose.
  • Use of the University’s network to gain access to another computer.
  •  Attempting to circumvent data protection schemes to uncover security loopholes.
  •  Intentional interference with or disruption of UB’s technology services (e.g.
  • computers, data, software, voice communications; passwords, pins, network).
  • Unauthorized copying, downloading or distribution of university software or data.
  •  Attempting to or hacking university data systems (e-mails, Xenegrade, educational platforms, computer systems).

Example
The students personal information was hacked, the schools firewall was not well protected against hackers. So therefore it caused hackers to threaten students and parents.
